Jc's Fantastic Dips

JC’s MIDNITE SALSA SPICE PACKS

All spice packs are typically made for party dips but they all have numerous uses.  The basic recipe consists of mixing 1 cup of sour cream and 1 cup of mayonnaise to each ½ oz to 3/4 oz spice pack.  Substitution of light products can be used at the sacrifice of some flavor.  My suggestion if you substitute with light products is to use at least one tablespoon of real mayonnaise.  The real mayonnaise flavor will go along way.

MEXICAN PARTY DIP  Heat Level - Medium

Mexican Party Dip is best described as an onion dip with a southwestern chili flavor.  Other uses are for an all-purpose seasoning for meats, poultry and fish.  One of my favorites is to mix some with Rice Vinegar for a zesty southwestern vinaigrette dressing.

MEXICAN PARTY DIP – CHIPOTLE   Heat Level - Hot

Mexican Party Dip - CHIPOTLE is definitely a spicy southwestern dip.

It is also used as an all-purpose seasoning for meats, poultry and fish.  This one I prefer to mix with melted cheese and just dip it.

CHILI FIESTA DIP   Heat Level - Medium

Chili Fiesta dip is a dip with a sweet chili flavor.  This will also make a good zesty salad dressing.  Add some to your ranch or thousand island dressing.  It also is excellent with eggs and potatoes.  Try blending with melted butter and pouring over cooked pasta and vegetables.

DILLICIOUS DILL DIP      Heat Level – Mild

Another great vinaigrette dressing.  Use with salads, potatoes and poultry.  Another favorite is to mix 2 tablespoons of vinegar, 1 tablespoon of Dillicious Dill Mix, one sliced cucumber in a zip lock bag.  Refrigerate for 30 minutes, shake and ready to eat or add to your salad.

COYOTE DIP     Heat Level – Medium

Coyote Dip Mix is a spice pack packed with many spices.  It also is an all-purpose seasoning for meats, poultry and fish.  If you ever have a boring pizza try a little pinch of this on top.

GARLIC DIP      Heat Level – Medium

Full of garlic flavor.  Great on potatoes and chicken.  Try mixing a little in your hamburger patty next time you grill.  Mix with melted butter and spread on bread and toast in oven or on grill. You will have the best garlic bread in town.

JALAPENO DIP   Heat Level – Hot

For those who just do not get enough of that good old jalapeno flavor.  Make an excellent party dip and goes well with all your Mexican foods as a topping.  If you’re like me you will use it for everything.

SALSA MIXES

Salsa mixes are a quick and easy way to get salsa when you want it by adding 1 pound of chopped fresh tomato, one 15 oz can of diced tomato, or one 15 oz can of stewed tomato to one package of salsa mix, chill at least 30 minutes or overnight, mix again, and serve.  You don't have to but adding fresh jalapenos, cilantro and a couple drops of vinegar only make it better.   Taste best  when the salsa and chips are hot.   Other easy uses for salsa are for dips such as sour cream, cottage cheese, avocados, chili, bean and melted cheese.

SALSA MIX     Heat Level – Medium

Mix, chill and serve. You will impress you guests every time.

SALSA MIX  CHIPOTLE    Heat Level – Hot

Smokey chipotle flavored salsa for a little zest. You choose how spicy you want it. I suggest using it all.

SALSA MIX   HABANERO  Heat Level – Hot to Hotter N’ Hell

For the hot heads. Again you choose how hot you want it. Be careful not to burn youself.  Add as much habanero as you like.
